Socks and Underwear

Sometimes it’s hard knowing what to get someone at Christmas. Some families subscribe to the four-gift rule: something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read. Others take the easy way out and give cash or gift cards. Inevitably, someone will be disappointed at some point when they open their gift and see something practical. Something they need but don’t want. Not everyone was thrilled with the first Christmas either. There were some who didn’t recognize the value of the baby in the manger. Others outright opposed baby Jesus and tried to have him killed. He was the gift that everyone needed, but not the gift that everyone wanted.
