IDENTITY
There are lots of important questions you’ll have to answer in your lifetime: Will you marry me? Do you want the job? Do you accept our offer of admission? As important as many of the questions we face seem, there are really only a handful that have eternal significance. Three, actually. Some people spend an entire lifetime trying to answer these three questions. They can be delayed, but they can’t be avoided. These questions determine the trajectory of your life, and the strength of the foundation of your life. The reasons they matter so much is because they go to the core of who you are. They are the question of identity, the question of belonging, and the question of purpose. Some people never answer these three questions, and their lives show it. They toss about, never really finding their footing. That doesn’t mean they’re unanswerable; they are. And the sooner you answer them, the sooner your life comes into focus.
