FACE THE MIRROR
When you look through glass it can distort the image of whatever is on the other side. Magnifying glass makes things look larger. Tinted glass changes the color. One glass doesn’t distort. Rather, it reveals the way things are. What kind of glass? A mirror. Whether you’re shaving, styling your hair, putting on makeup, or evaluating your progress in the gym, the mirror reveals things as they are. Scripture is a spiritual mirror. The Bible confronts reality and inspires improvement. The book of James is filled with advice for Christians of every maturity level, providing guidance that is as practical in the twenty-first century as it was when written in the first century. But only if you have the courage to face the mirror.
