Seek. Study. Serve.

WHY? Why seek? Why Study? Why Serve? There inevitably comes a point in every Christian’s life where they think, “Am I doing this right?” They desire to go “deeper” in faith, and have more impactful experiences. In Mark 12, Jesus fields a question from the religious authorities about the most important commandment. In his response, he quotes Deuteronomy 6:4-5. Because of his response, generations of Christ-followers have understood healthy spiritual development to impact three domains: affective, cognitive, and conative, a.k.a. seeking, studying, and serving. Healthy followers of Jesus are continually growing in each of these areas, and going “deeper” in our faith merely denotes movement on a given axis.
