Life seems more complex these days. So does church. These days we wrestle with pandemic protocols for gathering safely. We struggle to adapt, to embrace new technology, and to stay connected. This affects all facets of the church. We take communion in disposable cups. We meet over Zoom. We can’t say “good morning” from the stage because people watch the livestream in time zones where it’s night. Still, 21st century church is as basic as the first century church. My story meets God’s story. God and I cooperate to change someone else’s story. That’s the ministry of South Lansing Christian Church: we help people write the next chapter of their faith story by fostering environments where they can seek, study and serve God.
