Why Not Us

The faith of the earliest Christians was vibrant and powerful, but ours can feel dull and underwhelming. If we all serve the same Jesus, then why not us? In the book of Acts, we read of God doing incredible things among the followers of Jesus. Illnesses are healed, prisoners are freed, people share the Gospel in foreign languages. Outsiders are drawn into community. Above all though, we see God build and protect his infant church. God is still the same God, and his word is still living and active today. The gospel is still good news, so…why not us? It’s time for us to get serious about faith, and to live expectantly, waiting for God to work among us.
