A Fresh Start

SEEK GOD: This year at SLCC is all about what’s NEXT. A new year gives us a chance to make a clean break with the past, overcome things that have been holding us back, and set a new course with purpose. In 2023 we talked a lot about the basic practices of faith – things we should do and things we shouldn’t. While practices of faith are essential, even more so is the status of our hearts. In this three-week series we’ll go beyond looking at faith as a list of tasks to do – read, give, pray, serve, journal, etc. – and instead get back to the core of our faith: a relationship. Faith is relationship first, and all of our behaviors and practices flow out of that. If you wonder why you’ve been doing all the things that are part of being a Christian, and yet your faith has still felt stale, this series is for you.
